Stem down, that is, so it's pointing towards the wrist. If it's on
your torso or legs, then stem pointing towards your feet. That's how
all the athletes wear them, and it makes the most sense. I wouldn't
put it any other way if it was a stylised leaf (like what's on the
flag). If you're going for a real leaf, then you have more latitude,
but I'd still use that orientation as a general rule.
