Sorry! I haven't been able to get a good picture yet. The first is a
bird in flight, sort of in the style of Audobon. The color and shape
look like a stylized sparrow, which was the fist screen name I used on
AOL a looooooong time ago. I'm also an amature birder. It's located
on my left upper breast.
The one on my neck is an Irish horse. I saw the design on a pendant
in a catalogue and cut it out. It was just a basic outline, rather
stylized, and the artist added the colors and details.
My next one is going to be a cat. In fact, I found a cat pendant
similar to the horse, probably by the same jeweler. As with the
horse, I will let the artist flesh out the details. This is one where
I am not sure yet where to put it.
These three represent my totems, if you will. These are the three
animals that I am drawn to. I want the fourth one to look like the
imprint of a bare foot in wet sand and I plan to put this one on my
butt. This one is for my husband who is dedicated to going barefoot
as much as possible. I haven't gotten to the design stage yet so I am
not even sure if it can be done.
I am a bit behind in getting the tattoos because I came down with
Bell's Palsy. It's a virus in the same family as herpes and though
not contageious at all it can cause some problems due to skin trauma.
I found this out when I got a bad burn some months after the onset of
the disease and I broke out around the wound area. So I am just
giving it some time.
