As can see in the picture the tattoo hasnt healed right got it done in april and has patches and blotches like the ink has been drawn out somehow
Used savlon and clingfilm as aftercare Not sure why its done this as it wasnt exposed to the sun realizing that can be lethal to new tatts So am going to try and go back to artist but am dreading it and am scared wont do a free touch up hopefully it will be fine AM in scotland here not usa Also its in black as can see but if there was like a green background anyone think that would look cool or if it was outlined again in green the green ink around the black cheers DYLAN SALVATION LIES WITHIN |

Hey
From the pic you posted it looks like he went to deep and scarred you some. PROBABLY NOT YOUR FAULT Unless you were picking at it! I am not familiar with the products you mentioned but I have healed many a tattoo with simple soap and water , dont scrub, dont use really hot water, dont overdue the washing maybe twice a day unless you get the area dirty, also keep your hands off it as much as possible after the tattoo is complete I only bandage my ink for about an hour then a lite wash with soap and water and just enough moisturizer as needed to keep the skin moist " not wet dripping or gooey" you should barely be able to tell you have anything on it if your doing it right. The only other time i cover a new tattoo is in bed or at work " i am a mechanic" in these cases i wear as lite a white cotton garment as I can find. I would wait a good period maybe a year depends on your skin before I would have it reworked during that time try some daily massage 5 or ten minutes with a skin cream or vitamin e almost anything will help cocoa butter etc but the main focus is the massage. It will help over time to reduce the visibility of the scarring and help the skin to mend. As far as going back to the guy who originally did it, thats a personal decision on your part but if I was in your shoes i might look elsewhwere and ask the artist you are considering if he is fluent in touch up and rework if the artist doesnt sound confident and positive I'd wait till I found someone else. Good Luck with your endeavour. B Remember opinions are like assholes everyone has one I hope mine helps a little . B |

Well friend,
If there are only two artists available to you and your experience with one was less than hoped for I would probably try the other it may give him or her an ego boost if you go in and tell him the other guy in town scarred you. Just ask him up front how he feels about the outcome "rework" prior to letting him work on you if he sounds confident he can set you right then have at it . I know how it is to have something on you you'd like to remedy and as I am obsessive as hell it would probably help drive me nuts I say help because I am nuts already. GOOD LUCK and let me know the outcome maybe a pic or two I'm out B |
