Charlie Sheen Removes Denise Richards Tattoo

Charlie Sheen was recently spotted wearing a mysterious bandage around his left wrist as he strolled around the Los Angeles suburb of Van Nuys last Sunday.

Only two days after his estranged wife, Denise Richards, filed explosive court papers alleging Sheen's taste for gambling, drugs and porn, Star magazine conjectured that he recently had his "Denise" tattoo removed from the area.

According to Sheen rep, that assumption was accurate.

The actor, who has been under fire from his ex wife, taped an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week in a desperate attempt to clear his name, which was tainted in legal papers, filed by Richards over a week ago.

In the exclusive, Sheen stated, "I'm deeply saddened because this is clearly demonstrating a wanting and willful attempt at what I describe as a radical and transparent smear campaign and, clearly, a departure from sound, sane, responsible co-parenting ... It is a reaction to a failed marriage, a reaction to some twisted desire, real or imagined, to hurt, to punish, to discredit, to completely torpedo, to undermine my perception as a responsible father... a guy who would give his life for his children ... (Richards is) the only one entirely culpable for putting these radical allegations out for public consumption... my children included. And I find that as unacceptable as anything I've ever encountered."
