First tattoo

I'm planning to get my first tattoo in about 6 months, after my 18th birthday. I'm not sure what I want, because when I get it I want it to mean a lot to me, but still, I think I know I want it on my rib cage, but I don't know if I should get it there for my first tattoo, because I think I should get the feel of it.

Has anyone here had a tattoo on their rib, and if so how much did it hurt?

Hey there, I have had my whole back done and am getting my left leg done down to the knee but have never had my rib cage area done. My daughters partner and my step son have both had their rib cages done and found it to be painful but I think alot of it depends on well you sit. You culd discuss it with your artist.................how do you handle pain?????? What are you thinking you will have done..........as in how big or small will your first tattoo be.
