Too Old To Get Tattooed?
I will be seventy and have always wanted a tattoo. The proscriptions of the Eisenhower age did not allow "nice" people get inked but I wonder if the tide has changed? I know the young regard it as going shopping for a new adornment but I'm a bit more cautious. Obviously my first is not going to be Laocoon and his Sons fighting a serpent with the serpent on my neck and Laocoon and his offspring scattered about my chest. However, I'm of the mindset that says, "Go Big or Go Home". So two questions: Make some suggestions as to a good "starter" size (I fully plan to get more.) and what might be a good design and an appropriate place for it. No Chinese marking, no Japanese Koi, no "Old school with Hula Girls and pierced hearts but something that's a bit in your face but slightly appropriate to someone of my declining years. One good thing, my body when it reaches the crematory will still have reasonably bright ink and a good design. In advance, thanks! for your thought. B
