IT has taken me months to finally decide what i want to live with on me. and ive come up with a dali painting, my favorite one "one second before awakening..." (with the pomegrante, fish, tigers, and gun- thats all i want.) And even though its my first tattoo i want it to be at least a foot long. so i was thinking either my back or stomach.. i would like it on either place but i was just wondering what hurts more? haha i can deal with pain, but not for hours.

nice choice of design!
![]() have you spoken with an actual tattoo artist yet that is willing (and capable) of doing it for you? its hard to define pain because it's so subjective, but in general the lower back is pretty sensative, but the upper back is a lot more tolerable. stomach isn't bad, but watch out for the sternum and ribs because they are sensative spots also. |

Yeah, thanks for replying! I'm excited, I found someone who had done a lot of black and white and Dali paintings and I've gone to meet the guy and he loves the idea also. I was just curious as to where it hurt more, ribs and spine are a definite though, hah.

Have had my whole back done but noth'n on my stomach. Found that the spine bone and lower back was a tad uncomfortable but good breathing helped, that and my artist is really great

I had my lower stomach close to pelvis done and I think that it's a little worse than the back. I think it hurts more when it closer to somewhere with a little meat. Me personally, my back wasn't bad at all. It will just depend on you. If you can handle pain okay, but not for hours, I would say do your back. But, again, it depends on the person. I hope this was helpful if you haven't already done it. If you have, tell me how it turned out.
