Really? Are you in a brutal mood these days?

> Let me know next time you're in NYC.

Should I stand on 3rd Street screaming, "Jim! Cora! Jim! Cora!"? And
how much do you weigh? I'd like to know if I'll be able to run faster
than you, naturally. Oh, wait, I don't subscribe to your bullshit
theory re bodyfat and speed. Fwiw, I'm at 15.4% according to one of
those hand-held Omni somethingsomethings with a positively Buddha
belly. Is THAT why you'd like to meet? A race!

Psst, yit, you post was as... lame as David's previous kill file
protestations, but thanks for the attention. Otoh...

"Don't be such a pussy. Say what you have to say."
- KA

You have something to say?

It bothers you that Keith had something nice to say about me at one
time? It bothers you that I'd take a deserved swipe at Kavin? Something
else?

And you never did reply to the following post...

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...14b6a41215aa29
aka http://tinyurl.com/oj8r7

Your "few beers at a bar in brooklyn" comment is probably true, but did
you ever verify
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...es/RAB/KA.jpg? Just
curious.

Regardless, I wish Keith was alive. He was fun, direct, interesting,
together, motivated, and *anything but* an (to used Keith's words),
"emotionally retarded asshole with serious, serious abandonment
issues." Perhaps unrelated to all of that, but, certainly, Keith was
not... you.

Hth.

Nope, just a couple of beers at a bar nearby. It has some meaning
for me actually--I've been going there since about 1986. It used to
be a nexus of punk-skinhead violence, but is now kind of a weird mix
of tattooed trust-fund kids and yuppies.

Eh, my annoyances are neither here nor there, eh? Us meeting is more
about fate I think than anything else. It should have happened years
ago and unfortunately did not.

I didnt answer it because I talked to the event organizer in general and
although it turns out I wasn't entirely correct, he did mention some
things that I thought would be best kept off of usenet, even after all
that had passed under the bridge.

Nope. As it stands, it is not verifiable--which is--just so. At 8:19pm
however, on a friday or a sunday (you never mentioned what year the
log was taken from--just so) chances are pretty good he'd already been
through one bottle of sake--which is of course, also unverifiable. But
it's something you'd kinda just knwo if you knew the guy.

Whether or not you knew him enough to be able to make any assessment
about his personality is beside the point.

The point is, I think it's about time we meet, Curt.

So let me know when you're in New York City. I'll buy. It'd be only
fair.

If for some reason you're a little pensive about the meeting, possibly
thinking I'm going to punch you in the face or something, I'd most
happily see if I can get a few people to show up if it'd make you more
comfortable.

And: c) A 90% chance that the person will not be completely

Hey, Nina, do you think you could fit into this?

I'd love to have "access" to that!

Curt,

Nina's spelling is "afwul" because she is so
steamed at me, she doesn't have time to check her
spelling! Ha! I can almost see the smoke from CA!

Well, that's a change of pace. See also "brutal mood":

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...873e56389e5de4

Was that your last visit here? I'd offer you a welcome back, but, hey.

If I'm meeting you for a couple of beers then we're having a foot race
down 3rd Street.

Doesn't sound like my kind of place. I've mentioned before that I'm
more of a dive or corner bar fan. And, seriously, why would I want to
have a drink with you? We have little in common that I'm aware of and
you strike me as a major complainer. No, thanks.

> > You have something to say?

Plus, I've seen your pics. If you don't have anything to say, well, I
suspect I have no interest in meeting with you.

Well, then why reply to my post at all?

If your "annoyances are neither here nor there" then you'd have kept
quiet. You chose to speak up and yet... not speak up. Odd, but of no
special interest.

> Us meeting is more about fate

Your initial post was a pathetic attempt at the ominous. This one?
Borders on the ridiculous. Us meeting? Fate? Well, if it's fate then I
guess it'll happen of its own accord, won't it?

> I think

I don't believe you did. I believe you reacted without thought.

Do you understand fate? You had some trouble with obsidian
somewhenelsewhere in this newsgroup. So, you'll excuse me if I question
your comprehension of fate and its meaning.

Opinion.

But, hey, I was at that one RABcon. You couldn't schedule a flight?
Can't say I'm disappointed.

In general? That's amusing.

Ho! You weren't "entirely correct"? Is that like being wrong? No
surprise there.

> he

Come on, you can at least offer an initial. Scratch that!

I think you're full of shit or that you posed your questions for the
"event organizer" in such a way that you heard the answers you wanted
to hear. I've only been to a few BBQs. At two of those events, however,
I was invited to the after party hosted BY the event organizers.
Perhaps you're confused. I strongly suspect you are. Regardless, what
*your* event organizer had to say? Water, duck's back, etc. Hth!

> did mention some things that I thought would be

Obscure is good. You've painted some fantasy nonsense in the past, so I
should expect more of the same. Enjoy your fiction, though.

Nope, huh? I wonder if it's still in my log. Not verifiable, eh? Again,
I call bullshit.

Just so? It was the year of the RABcon dispute, obviously. Maybe you
remember this post...

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...b29e3135ac1135
aka http://tinyurl.com/hnnly

> chances are pretty good he'd already been through

Which is you saying he might've been... unaware of what he was saying?
Drunk? Unable to hold his alcohol? What? Chances are pretty good that
the one bottle of sake would have what? What?! You've gone from
bordering on the ridiculous to firmly ensconced. Well done!

> of course, also unverifiable. But it's something
> you'd kinda just knwo

I'm afraid I don't "knwo". It's evident you're prone to error, fantasy,
and argument. Hey, we're all human, though, aren't we? Aren't we?

> if you knew the guy.

I didn't. But we did swap us some posts! Oh, yes.

My post, my point.

> The point is, I think it's about time we meet, Curt.

Keeping thinking. And... be careful what you wish for.

> So let me know when you're in New York City.

Will do. Keep reading RAB, too.

> I'll buy.

Cool.

> It'd be only fair.

To be honest, I suspect there is no fair with you.

> If for some reason you're a little pensive about
> the meeting, possibly thinking I'm going to punch
> you in the face or something, I'd most happily see
> if I can get a few people to show up

Error, fantasy, argument, and apparently a large dose of idiocy. If I
was pensive about meeting you, exactly how would you getting "a few
people to show up" change that? D'OH!

Say, do you read what you write or are you just hitting keys randomly?
Rhetorical.

> if it'd make you more comfortable.

I'm plenty comfortable.

Again, thanks for the attention. And, hey, remember these words?

"See, many of us have spam filters, which prevent us from ever seeing
usenet spam. You on the other hand, appear to not. When you respond
to them, you basically disable our spam filters and force us to see the
seething bullshit that you see." From:
http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...d487449a583bc4
aka http://tinyurl.com/rcvtz

So, about that whole "When you respond to them, you basically disable
our spam filters" concept... I kindasorta think that works with YOU
replying to MY posts which then impacts those who have me in their kill
files. You basically disable their filters and force them to see the
(I'm assuming they consider my words) "seething bullshit" they'd rather
not see. Do I have a grasp on that?

....

More importantly, perhaps, do you?

I'm picky because I have quality standards for people *and* tattoos.
You just so happen to meet neither. But do keep whining.

Steam and smoke are both overrated, imo. Still, I do envy you
California. How's the weather?

Say, try this on Nina:

"I think it's about time we meet, Nina.

Let me know next time you're in CA."

Never know, G! Just might work. ;o)

Best of luck.

Dude, don't get me going! I'd
go nuts just talking to her on the phone!

First she has to understand that
I do not hate her. In fact, i'm a huge fan.

But I'm gonna let myself fantasize

Hmmm. It would appear you have some ground to make up. Might I suggest
some major ass kissing? And, uh, no more mention of her having crappy
tattoos. Certainly, you'll agree, that's a major error in fact, right?

Anyway, sorry to read about the blazing hotness in your part of town.
It's sunny and clear today in south central (Pennsylvania). Best of
luck with the fan club. ;o)

Yeah? To who? Me? Because I'm not seeing anything else. Why don't you
pitch your two cents somewhere else?

And, look, how'm I going to let you know when I'm in New York if you
don't read RAB? We're not exactly on each other's Christmas lists.

Dead to you, perhaps. Very much alive to me and others.

What drugs are you on now? Let you know?

I'm not IM'ing you. I'm not emailing you. I'm not calling you. If

You know, for a person who's professed endlessly to never have
once been bothered by anything I've ever said about him or to
him, you sure are acting as if your panties are in a bunch about
SOMETHING.
