Hey guys! I've been thinking for a while about getting another
piercing and I'm set on the anti-tragus. I have my tragus and my rook pierced, both were painless to me, more like pressure then anything. Healing wise, i got that 'dreaded bump' on my tragus :( booo. Anyway I've been reading stories like crazy on the BME (I think that's what it's called) but I'm still not satisfied. So I'm here to ask about your experiences or someone you know about having it pierced! Pain-wise (I can't remember which website but one said it was one of the most painful to get. Of course people told me the same thing about the rook but we all know how that turned out..), intial healing, long term healing, jewelery used (barbell vs a ring) I've also been reading about people saying this piercing migrates? How common is that? Thanks for your help, it's very much appreciated. |

I had mine dermal punched at 14 G and had a 16G titanium curved barbell for jewellery. It didn't hurt particularly, and healing was utterly uneventful. It was slightly more bothersome than a rook or a daith, because it is more exterior than those, but it was much less bothersome than a helix or tragus. I don't remember how long it took to heal, probably about the same as any other cartilage piercing. I have had mine for several years now, and it hasn't moved or changed at all, I don't know how usual that is. Jewellery changes are difficult to do on one's own. I seem to be reacting to the jewellery in my new nostril piercing. I've never reacted to anything before, even really nasty junk jewellery, and while this wasn't implant grade material it wasn't junk either, so I am puzzled and miffed at the same time. I'm now waiting for some good stuff to be delivered - hopefully my nose won't fall off before then. nj"fairly grumpily"m -- "I do not rhyme to that dull elf Who cannot imagine to himself..." |
