When I posted the following image on the web (placing it in the public
domain), it didn't occur to me that anyone would want to use it for a tattoo. But over the past year, a number of people have contacted me to ask if I think it would be acceptable to use the image for that purpose. It was nice of them to contact me, since they really didn't have to. But since it is a spiritual / sacred image, I'm glad they took the time to wonder whether it should be used in this way. (My own feeling is that, provided it is used in a respectful way, it would make a wonderful tattoo -- though I don't know how easy it would be to reproduce.) You might enjoy viewing this image -- it is an image that (to me and many others) embodies the ideals of Wisdom and Compassion. It is a somewhat mysterious/mystical/numinous image from the spiritual traditions of Nepal and Tibet: http://www.100bestwebsites.org/alt/s...ofbodhnath.htm Please be well and happy, and go in Peace, whosoe'er you may be! -- Brett http://www.100bestwebsites.org/ "The 100 finest sites on the Web, all in one place!"
