Hi,
Can anyone recommend a piercer in the Bristol area (Bristol, Southwest UK) ?? Three of us are wanting our nipples done, one pair of which are inverted, which complicates things a bit I understand. A female piercer would be preferred. thanks in advance! Jessica. |

Don't ask: it's an insider joke or better said, a bane. I hope your piercing turns out to be satisfactory :) Corine |

[...] re Capt. Google > Don't ask: it's an insider joke or better said, a bane. [...] A bane, eh? Perhaps it's the language barrier represented in text. http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=bane offers: something causes misery or death; "the bane of my life" /wordnet So, who has the good captain killed? Or has he made your life miserable, Corine? Well, are you miserable? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane offers: The meaning of bane as an English form of nemesis, the bringer of ruin, dates only from 1577. Now an affliction, curse, evil, ill, plague, scourge or woe, in Old English bana had a more specific and immediate meaning, of "slayer", "murderer." /wiki Bringer of ruin! Now that sounds serious. A curse, evil, scourge or woe? Is that right? Slayer, murderer even. Hnh. He doesn't look like a murderer to me... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...captgoogle.jpg But, hey, I'm sure you thought this all out and see things with the trained eye of a... whatever you are. Continuing with the Google... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(band) offers: Bane is a hardcore/punk band from the Boston area that is known for its energy, anthems, honesty and promotion of tolerance and unity within the hardcore scene. /wiki Honesty and promotion of tolerance, eh? This whole bane tag seems like it's fitting for the captain... imo. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(comics) offers: Bane is the DC Comics villain best known for breaking Batman's back. /wiki Capt. Google would make a half decently goofy comic book character. But so would your friend from Atlanta. His arch nemesis? A volleyball, of course. ;o) And en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(Harry_Potter) offers: Bane is the name of a centaur recurrent in the Harry Potter series, written by J. K. Rowling. /wiki I'll just bet the captain loooooves Harry Potter. Bane it is then. Thank you, Corine. Your insight is, as ever, revealing. Hey, so far as "insider joke" goes, I believe the joke's on you. -- Curt http://curtjames.com/ |
