I made it up here to Kodiak, AK and found the local tattoo shop and
found his MySpace page and saw at least three photographs of fairy tattoos, including Tinker Bell?! Tinker Bell?! Who in the world would get a tattoo of Tinker Bell? Talk about unoriginal. Anyways... I am working on my first professional piece for my portfolio which has a fairy in it, its going to be a greeting card, although it could be a tattoo as well. I just want to know what's the big deal about fairy tattoos? Can anyone explain it to me? I truly don't get it. |

> I made it up here to Kodiak, AK How did you travel? I've walked, run, ridden two Hondas and two Harleys and assorted bicycles, at least one skateboard - bright orange and plastic circa 1970something, taken a Greyhound, and assorted brands/makes/ modelswhathaveyou of cars, oh, a few military vans and trucks, too. Hmm, almost forgot the toy tractor and at least one tricycle (missed out on Big Wheels and Green Machines ~sigh). Flown, but that wasn't me at the wheel. Hmm, wasn't me driving the Greyhound, actually or that trip would've been straight through instead of stops all the time! > and found the local tattoo shop and Cool. > found his MySpace page and saw at least three photographs of fairy > tattoos, including Tinker Bell?! I am Don't sell Tinker Bell short. http://www.tinkfanatic.com/tinkerbel...os/tattoo1.htm Several tattoo artists have approached the character from a traditional Disney attitude while at least one has used an approach using greater realism. The badass Tink is amusing, too. Sleeve on one arm, drinking, smoking. The pierced wing might be a bit much. And although not a tattoo, Tinker Bell as high art? http://www.byronoconnor.com/news.html Perhaps not, but Diarmuid Byron O'Connor's, "It has been as immense privilege for me to interpret the JM Barrie characters 'Peter Pan' and 'Tinker Bell' for the Great Ormond Street Hospital," certainly seems an original expression of something. > working on my first professional piece for my portfolio which has a > fairy in it, its going to be a greeting card, although it could be a > tattoo as well. They encompass, truth , beauty and the yearn for the infinite. You're the one hankering for a fairy tattoo, why do you need another's explanation? nj"faretheewell"m -- "I do not rhyme to that dull elf Who cannot imagine to himself..." |

Shouldn't you have already finished that piece of shit artwork you've been talking about for weeks? Has your daughter finally figured out you should have had your parental rights terminated long, long ago and run back to her dope-smoking father, thus giving you even more time to troll in what, 100 different newsgroups? Again, if you are real, you are the example of why people should be forcibly medicated. And if you are a troll, which I do believe more and more, you probably should still be forcibly medicated. This is an example of classic humor. I do, however, protest the inexplicability of the Taz tattoo. Taz, like Tinker Bell, is that shining example of tattoo reference with deep personal symbolic meaning for many people. Taz encompasses, truth, beauty and the yearning for the infinite. Uh, or something like that. -- Curt |

I was working on one that straddled my shaft (kewl idea), then I found that Gadget resembled my wife better. I currently have a Brain Froud backpiece based on his "The Faery who was kissed by the Pixies". I've got other ideas from Amy Brown and David Delamare. Fairies are awesome. |

<snip> Funny, you never responded about the 17 guiche ladder. Is it a true guiche ladder (which I doubt) or does it start as a guiche and run on the underside of your scrotum and around. Just a question. But it deserves an answer. Kavin |

I blew you off because I didn't understand your question because it was vague enough to not be able to establish a base framework. In short, your question came across in an asinine manner. And with you going out of your way to bring it up again, I wonder if my first impression was the correct one? Anyway, no it does not deserve an answer but it is a question I will try to answer now that I understand your reference point. It started out as a guiche and I was taking it toward an anal piercing but stopped and went up to turn into a scrotal ladder and now it's about to become a frenum ladder and will meet the one frenum piercing near the head. Eventually, it will be totally filled out between my PA and a anal piercing. But after going through this long and useless explanation, I would think that most normal persons would understand the context and not get caught up in semantics. So it's easier to just describe it as my guiche ladder. Capisce? |

I'm sure it's not your first. Kavin |
