Here's a guy on etsy who makes nice glass plugs:
http://frozenfire.etsy.com/ Some designs look like what Glasswear studios makes (at half the price), but he's got some pretty unique designs too. I bought a pair of 7/16" "mushroom caps" :D. The back flare is smaller than the front for easy insertion, but it really shouldn't be any smaller, the plugs are a bit top heavy which isn't noticeable in my size, but it might be in larger sizes.
