ZOMG KELOIDS!!!!!1! no, just hypertrophic scarring that up until three days ago was being super stubborn. i've been aggressive with the peroxide recently and they're currently the calmest they've been for more than a day at a time since last november. i've felt for some time that a jewelry change is in order, but wanted to have the bulk of the scar bubbles under control before i attempted it. i've got 16g 3/8" curved barbells in them now but i just ordered these: http://www.bodyartforms.com/productd...ProductID=1280 i think they will be much happier without the barbells. i don't think i did anything terribly wrong to them but my body seems to like to scar and i thought i might have trouble with cartilage piercings. i'm also really freaky about keeping my ears clean and i've been careful but i'm sure i irritated them more than i should have. i'm glad they're looking better now because i seriously love them and am really happy with the job my piercer did. i'm looking forward to the new jewelry. |

I noticed your new jewelry is Steel. If you are scarring you should probably go to glass or Ti. Not just because I think Ti is the best to heal with. Some studies show the steel contributes to scarring, which would make sense. Your body is just trying to get more stuff between it and the jewelry it doesn't like. It could also be a bit mechanical. Weight. Torque. Or it could just be you and your evilness. Kavin |
