Let's try something on topic - changing my 18ga nose stud

Ok, so Sunday I was in Claire's and notice they sold body jewelry and
had some 18ga nose screws on sale, surgical steel. So I buy a packet,
go to the bathroom in the movie theater, take mine out and try to put
a new one in. I can't. So then I try to put a nose bone in and I can't
do that either. It hurts. WTF. I just took out an 18ga nose screw! So
after the movie I rush back to Claire's, buy some 20ga nose studs,
surgical steel, only these have threaded ends. I put one of those in,
no problem.

Well, last night I was sleeping in my daughter's bed, its double, and
was squished, so I bumped my nose stud on the pillow, it fell out. I
felt around for it, couldn't find it, went to sleep.

This morning I get up, try to put another 20g nose stud in and it
won't go all the way through. That's right folks, the inside of my
piercing closed up over night. My piercer won't be in until 4pm, I
have to pick my daughter up at 4pm. Last time I made an appointment
for myself I forgot to call and cancel, she called me to remind me,
and I had to cancel on the spot. That was bad.

I am guessing I will pick my daughter up, convince her to come with me
to the studio, and call the piercer. I can't believe this. This will
be third time I will have gotten my nose pierced, second time on that
side.

I do not think my priest appreciates my nose piercing, I know the
fascists and reactionaries in my religion do not. I have a very long
question and answer series on my Facebook page including several
priests and other clergymen in regards to this, right now. They don't
like body modifications. I could just let it close up and be on with
it, but I don't want to.

I have had that piercing for a year. I am shocked it would close up
from the inside so quickly. This makes me anxious about the other
facial piercings I want to get like my eyebrow, lip and tongue, like
how would my body handle those...
