Yeah, I saw the warning. I'm thinking about putting them into earskins.
In fact,I'm thinking of wearing more plugs that have become too small

earskins would be a decent solution, though i like tape more
simply because if the plug shatters, it'll at least stick together a bit
around the edges. what size are you at now? lj communities (gaugetrade,
bodmodtrade, bod_mod_trade) are great for picking up cheap autoclavable
stuff.

7/16. What kind of tape are you using? I'm kind of reluctant to use
tape. I can't wear nitrile o-rings any more, they make my lobes break
out.

i use electrician's tape, but i don't recommend it. it's
nonreactive to me if i'm wearing it less than a week solid. others
recommend teflon tape/ptfe or bondage tape. but you can always tape it &
THEN stuff it in an earskin.

yeah, i didn't want my earlobe to distort either, which is why
i've cut & carefully stretched my way up. it's bigger than it was, sure,
but the line down my ear is the same.
