Default Happy Thanksgiving

Well, the Pumpkin Crab Soup is now simmering on the stove. The house
smells of onions and garlic and spices and LOVE!

I saw a girl yesterday at Target who commented on my tragus jewelry,
and I just smiled when she asked how long it took me to gauge them.
She was new in Atlanta so I gave her the numbers to Piercing
Experience so she could get quality jewelry. I felt the love.

So now, I want everyone to take a moment and think of something for
which you are faithful.

I'm thankful I have ALL the RABbits who brighten my day every time I
read one of their posts. I'm thankful for newbies who ask the same
questions without ever thinking about looking into older posts that
asked the same question. I'm thankful I can feel this love that goes
from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.

And as I look around, I'm thankful for the dog curled at my feet, the
dog and cat curled up on the bed, and the other cat that will shortly
be head-butting my leg.

I might even be thankful for green bean casserole.

NiceKavin

Oh, yes, and warm pink fuzzy luv to you, too, NK.

Now, please ask your evil twin to join you so that the two of
you balance each other out. Otherwise I fear for the 陰陽

That will teach me to listen to Gospel music while I type.

But, I kind of like it.

Glad I spelled it correctly.

I think I'm going to start calling Hallowe'en "Wraithsgiving". And
Easter "Eggsgiving". Giving is a good word for holidays, especially
giving to me.

Don't forget to celebrate either Birthfest or Birthmas. With both,
you celebrate a day for every year. But with Birthmas, you expect
presents for every day.

And I can celebrate the miracle of the neverending oil!

I can do both, since I officially turn a year on January 1, but don't
really do so until later in the year, the date I was born.

But I think I'll start calling the date of the Best Beloved's birth
"Birthgiving".

I have a friend who sends her mother flowers on her (the friend's)
birthday. Just a tribute for the woman "who did all the work."

Perhaps the Best Beloved's mother deserves the same? Think of the
points you score with that gesture.

Crap, that wasn't even NiceKavin.

Well, I think I do, but he disagrees, and says all I really deserve is
a dead rat in a bag. Which perhaps reflects something about his self
image, and if it does, it means I did my job as competently and as
evilly as possible.

No kidding, I'll put this away for my next birthday, maybe for once
I'll be Mom's Favourite.
