I was back at Wal-Mart because 1000 points of light are just not
enough for my 7 ft. Christmas tree. So 350 more -- 200 non-blinking, 100 blinking, and I'm happy. And because I need a new watch, I wandered into the jewelry section. Did you know that Wal-mart is the top seller of diamonds in the US? But besides that, they now sell do-it-yourself ear piercing kits. I can't figure out whether to be appalled or happy. Kavin |

He might have. I had never seen one, though. I've seen the ones beauty supply shops sell. But those are for "professionals." Kavin |

It's one thing for someone who knows a bit about things to pierce their own body, another entirely to promote doing so with a "professional kit", tempting the ignorant masses to confidently poke holes in their flesh. You've got at least a 100 blinking lights on your Christmas tree and can't easily managed appalled? You're such a redneck. As for the ear piercing kits, I doubt it will encourage too many from taking it on as a new challenge, and may replace some wine cork and safety pin kits, so personally I'm appalled. nj"so old school I spell it that way"m -- the handcuffed heartaches up against the car like you're up against me darling in my dreams |

I have reassessed the number of non- blinking lights versus the blinking lights and have decided I want all blinking lights. But less than 700. Thank God I haven't finished dressing the tree. And there is egg-nog left. And Drambuie. With Coffee. I should be done by Sunday. Kavin |

The retinas are burning just thinking about it. A Christmas angel is now on top of the tree, courtesy of Home Depot. I just finished making home-made dog-biscuits. The cranberry-and- vanilla-infused vodka is now resting. I think I need a new piercing so I can poke some of this Christmas spirit out of me. Kavin |

That would have worked for me, except I didn't have any to start with. I stretched my rook up to 14G and had a conch dermal punched on Sunday - here comes some months of sleeping only on my right side. The conch is fine, the rook hurts like the hell, oddly enough. I thought this was the last of the ear pokes, but I think there's one missing on the right side, now. I'm not quite balanced. nj"seriously, notable tilt"m -- the handcuffed heartaches up against the car like you're up against me darling in my dreams |

I've stretched my tragus & daith (right ear) and anti-tragus & rook (left ear) to 14 in the last month or so. None of them required anything more than a little push to get the jewellery in - they were all years old and none of them were sore more than a very short time. This one went really painful about six hours afterwards and is still very upset, though it's getting better. The punch, on the other hand, hasn't been noticed by my body so far. >NJM> I thought this was the last of the ear pokes, but I think there's one >NJM> missing on the right side, now. When I stretched my tragi from 2g to 0g, I didn't hurt the first day, but I was sore from the top of my head to my shoulder blades for a week starting from day two. Kavin |
