I got my first tattoo back on Jan 25, 2008. Two months later, the
colors have faded somewhat. I've read that touchups are sometimes needed. Couple questions though: Does the fading shown in the pictures below look like bad artist work, bad ink, bad aftercare, or just normal fading that needs touch up? The left image is the tattoo one day old, the right is 2 months old. An experienced opinion would help me be prepared to discuss with my artist when I go see him in a few days. http://home.earthlink.net/~sblanky/Comparison.jpg |

The sgc> http://home.earthlink.net/~sblanky/Comparison.jpg the "fading" looks like normal fading; it's the artistry that looks like bad artist work. think about how a tattoo is actually applied & you'll understand that this isn't really the colors fading. however, there's no excuse for that flat-looking pathetic tiger when artists like these exist: http://compunction.org/tattoos.html when you're done reading that, read this: http://compunction.org/healing.txt . i bet your "artist" is having you slather all sorts of bullshit on that thing until it finally heals. lish "well, i may be a lot of things crank@got.net but i won't be ignored." -mm 43.9% / 30 RANA 128 / 70 |

Thanks for the link to that. Your opinion of the artistry of my tattoo is perfectly irrelevant to me... |

Thanks for the link to that. good! i'm glad you're following my text. that can only help make up for your artist's incompetence. sgc> Your opinion of sgc> the artistry of my tattoo is perfectly irrelevant to me... as well it should be. if you're happy, it doesn't matter what anyone else's opinion is. lish "& it takes half as much crank@got.net as it used to for me." -mm 43.9% / 30 RANA 128 / 70 |
