Hello,
I am contacting everyone I can track down who was a part of RAB in the nineties, before BME became a community site, to help me write an article about RAB. As a Modblog author, the one feature I enjoy doing the most is "From The Vault". For those of you not familiar with those post, they are based on old pictures and old stories from before Modblog began and they are intended as a way to help educate the youngsters and remind the rest of us where we came from. I am going to provide a few questions/ topics to talk about. Feel free to respond to as many or as few as you like. Also, if anyone has any pictures from old munches or any other RAB related photos, I would love to include them. -Your name and/or online handle. -What do you do for a living (then and now)? -How did you find RAB? -What affect did/does RAB have on your life? -Did any of your online friends become real life friends (obviously this is true for many, but please go into details)? Are you still friends with any of them? -Did you attend any munches, if so please tell us about them. -If you do not still post on RAB, why not? -How did RAB differ from other online body arts community sites, such as IAM? -One can not talk about the old RAB days without mentioning Keith Alexander, if anyone has any stories or insights about him they would like to share, please do. The questions provided are just a few suggestions of topics, feel free to add anything you like. I will be using peoples quotes and answers as the majority of the article, so any input would be very appreciated. Also, if you are still in contact with any nineties RAB users who I may have not been able to track down, please feel free to forward this to them. Thanks for your time, and I hope to hear back from you soon. Sean Philips You can email your responses to sean@bmezine.com |

RAB was my first introduction to the bod mod community when I was just a dumb kid getting schooled by Keith Alexander. My first social interaction with other modified folks was a DC area RAB munch at a Brazillian BBQ place in Rockville. When IAM was created, I started to fade away from RAB and become more focused on BME, but I never forgot where I started and I want to make sure this important era in moder bod mod history, does not get forgotten. PS: I think my emaill I was using at the time was unity(something) @aol.com Sean |

I have never been particularly interested in participating in BME, but I have forwarded your message to some people who no longer read this group and who might be of great use to you, if they are so inclined. Good luck. nj"there is no community"m -- according to keith alexander |

And your opinion counts for shit. In ANY group you post. Now go bug the muscle wannabes. And the scat group you so like. And that motorcycle group that won't talk to you. But I'm sure you're going to have your nose up the original poster's ass. Time to reconstitute the lie about how much KA respected you. You and locust. What a cycle. Kavin |
