That is a generalized website that does nothing to address the matter
of using triple antibiotic on tattoos.

I've been using neosporin (and various generic versions thereof) for 35
years or more. I like to smear it in my nostrils when I have a bad
cold because it keeps my nose from cracking on the inside and
lubricates my boogers.

Using topical antibiotics to prevent infection is, simply put, stupid.
This doesn't change with the application site, i.e. whether it's a
tattoo or a scraped knee.

....which has nothing to do with the antibiotics in the ointment, but
with the petroleum base. You could use simple vaseline to the same effect.
