Hi all. New here - getting ready for my first!!
Anyone have any particularly good experience with artists in Calgary - I'm looking for someone great at custom work... I have a basic idea/concept that I'd like to portray, but I'm not able to conceptualize anything on paper. I'm looking for someone who is fun to work with, patient, and technically excellent (of course). Money/wait lists aren't a big deal. One name that's popped up a few times is Heather Mclean... but I appreciate all feedback you might have! Thanks! |

I had my first one done at Body Inc. by Chad Good. He's working at Strange City in Edmonton now though. Obviously, the rockstar in town is James Tex, but last I heard he was booking into 2008. Guys at Smiling Buddah are really good with black and gray, but again, you'll be waiting for it. A friend of a friend opened up a shop called "Hide and Seek". His name's Jay Slinger. I've seen a ton of his stuff on people I used to know (when I still lived there), some new, some a few years old, and it all looks awesome. I'm in Red Deer now, and I've gotten my last few done by Lucas Ford at Classic Tattoo. Fire me an e-mail and I'll try to point you at some websites and fire you a couple pictures if you want. Take care, Kris |
