Here I am, still wanting to have my face tattooed. I've been wanting
to do this for a very long time, I'd say since I was about 15 years old. I had always been fasinated by tattoos my entire life, and by people who had them. I always drew on myself all the time, sometimes quite extensively. I even got into painting myself. But tattoos always facinated me. The permanence of them really entranced me, enchanted me, excited me. To be able to draw on your skin, and to have it stay there for life. All of my self drawings eventually washed off. I always knew you could tattoo your arms, legs, back and such. But around the age of 15 it hit me that there was no reason that you could not tattoo your face, although I had never seen a facial tattoo at the time. I began to constantly daydream about having my face tattooed from that day on. Somehow, I ran across an ad for a book called REsearch something, and ordered it, and it had several pictures of facial tattoos. I was like WOW, you can tattoo your face. I was so excited! I began to draw on my face even more, trying out different designs. I would always look into the mirror and imagine that it was really a tattoo. I still draw on my face to this day. I love Sharpie markers. I love going out and seeing what people will say about my new design of the day. Eventually, I got onto the Internet, and found some neat people with facial tattoos. Although I've never met anyone with one. I would like to have my entire face covered with tattoos though. I'm not totally sure of the design yet, but I am narrowing down the choices. One thing I am considering is a china doll look, full white face with really dramatic make-up applied over it. Heavy eyeliner, high brows, multi color eyeshadow, heavy blush, bright red lips outlined in a thick black liner, and a red heart outlined in black on my forehead. The second thing I am considering is a cat theme; leopard or tiger. The third thing I would consider is a butterfly face. It would be a large butterfly with wings spread across my face with detailed colorful wings with my eyes looking out of the wings. With a background of flowers, vines, hearts, butterflys, words, fairies, dragons, and my lips done in bright red with a thick black outline. Some of the people I admire with facial tattoos are Angelaca Vasquaz saw her on TV getting some of her face tattooed, Katzen, Julia Gnuse, The Leopard Girl, Enigma, The Great Omi, Eric Sprage, Lucky Diamond Rich, The Leopard Man, and various other neat people I've seen on the net including people on BMEzine. And I did like Joy's nice face tattoo. >The problem with a facial tattoo is that it is going to create a >barrier between you and pretty much everyone else you meet. Even if >they are tat friendly they are not going to able to avoid thinking >about your tat whenever they have a simple converstation with you. >Do you really want that to be running through the back of everyone's >mind in each and every conversation you have with another human being >for the rest of your life? >A face tattoo is going to be impossible to ignore. YES !! That is what I want. I want a full and total coverage tattoo covering my entire face to be a barrier between me ane everyone I meet for the rest of my life. I want them to be thinking about my tattoo from the time we meet to the time we part. I want them to be thinking why in the world did they do that? I want my facial tattoo to be so bold and bright, and complete in coverage that it will be impossible to ignore, even from a distance. I want my face to scream tattooed! I think about that all the time, and I think I will be happy. I think I will enjoy the looks, I think I will enjoy having people thinking in the back of their minds why in the world did I tattoo my face. I will enjoy meeting new people and showing off my newly tattooed face. I think I will enjoy having my face tattooed. I know I will love looking in the mirror and seeing my face coverd with tattoos. It will make me happy. I will love talking to people about why I did it, and explaning how it was done. Why did I do it, I did it for me, for fun, to enjoy having my face tattooed. To enjoy having a tattooed face. To enjoy being able to walk around for the rest of my life with my face tattooed, and never being able to hide it ever. Once it's done, I will have to go out and show it off to all. I know I will have a lot of explaining to do, but I figure that is the price I wil have to pay to have nice designs tattooed all over my face. If you feel as I do about facial tattoos feel free to write to me. If you don't feel free to flame, lol. This is america, and well I feel like my face is probably going to get tattooed. Their entire face was covered in tattoos and, yes, I was thinking about the why question, but only briefly. By the end of the conversation, the tattoo was a nonfactor and the person, the conversation had become the focus. Still, a facial tattoo will - I'm guessing - prove more of a magnet than a barrier so far as the initial impression or meeting is concerned, but then become easily ignored (even from a distance) after that first contact's been completed. With that in mind, you may want to rethink your philosophy, perhaps romanticization, and motivation re facial tattoos. > I want my face to scream tattooed! WOW, thank you for the nice and thoughtfull response Curt. Yes, I am 28
now. I have really been thinking about my face, and what to have tattooed on it this morning. I've been browsing the web in search of some design ideas, and some thoughts on the process, and actually going through with it, and how to go about living with it. Could I do it, and do I really want to. Deep in my heart it is my most seceret desire to do this, when I awake in the morning I look at all the pictures of tattooed faces I have all over my bed room, and think someday I will have the courage to do that. > Again, when I was working retail at American Eagle, an art teacher in > Harlem shopped our one Harrisburg location. TRUE, I do think you may be right. In fact you are. A full face tattoo would have to me a magnet, it would draw quite a bit of attention to me. Thinking about this all morning, and for years, I would have to say that I would LOVE that. I truly would love having my face tattooed in very bright and bold colors, that would draw alot of attention. I would love knowing that each time I opened the door to go out it would be an adventure. I truly do love attention. I know some of it would be bad, and some good. I, of course, would try to avoid bad situations. But, I would not try to hid the fact that my face was tattooed. I mean the entire reason I am planning on doing this is to let everyone see that I have tattooed my face. I want people to see my face after it is tattooed. I would love to be in some tattoo magazines, and on some websites. I want as many people to see as can, if they want. I like the fact that my face will me a magnet for attention. > > I want my face to scream tattooed! I think about that all the time, > > and I think I will be happy. > > If you're not happy now then you may not be happy... then. Still, best > of luck. TRUE, I did not mean to give the impression that I was unhappy. I am happy now, but this is something deep down that is driving me, compelling me. I do not know why. Truly, I think it is a compulsuion, I feel compelled to do this. That is why I call it my deep down dark secret, because, I guess there is quite a big sexual componet to it. I, in a way, cannot belive I am actually writing about it now. Alas, I feel more and more compelled each day to do so. Growing up I read such books as, "I will Fear no Evil," by Robert A. Heinlein. The bodypainting really got into my head, and other such books of that era, with sci-fi and fantasy themes, many of which had extreme tattooing and body transformations in them. I got really hooked and entranced on these themes and thoghts. I absolutly love the movie Tattoo, I dream that I was that girl each and every time I watch the movie. One of my current favorite movies is, Immortal. It is indeed awesome. I also love; The Crying Game, Resident Evil, Doctor Who, UltraViolet, AeonFlux, Underworld, Lexx, V For Vendetta, Alien, Blade Runner, Highlander, Legend, Lord of the Rings, Stargate, DUNE, Tomb Raider. I also have a special love for Gwen Stephanie, she is so totally spectacular, her face is divine, perfect to be tattooed. I am also very deeply and completly entranced by the world of DUNE. To say I love it would be an understatement. I love the 6 prequels. They are awesome beyone compare. They delve somewhat into the deeper sexual side of our human nature, and is somewhat a key link into part of why I want to cover every milimeter of my face with tattoo ink. TRUTHFULLY, I do know it is very taboo yet in 2006 to mention a sexual link and tattoos. But it is there for some. And indeed it is for me. Not a total link, but it is somewhat linked to why I want to do this to myself, and live with it. I think sometime soon I will have to have a sit down talk with my boss and tell them that I may be having my face tattooed. I sure hope that she takes it well. I am very curious as to what my co-workers will think when they see. I have time banked up so that I can take off work while I undergo as many sessions as it will take to cover my face and let it heal completly. I want to return to work with a finished face. I really do not know how I will feel walking through the door to work the first time with my new face, but I do know it will be one totally exciting and thrilling day, to go around meeting my friends and seeing their reactions. I am looking forward to that day. I will, of course have the boss tell them what I am doing when I leave. The only person that I think I will be a bit embarressed and ashamed to meet and show will be my mom. I know I will have to see her eventually, but it will be stressfull. I do not know how she will take it. I do not look forward to that day. I found some links to some designs that I found very interesting: http://www.luciebrouillard.com/photo...ing/full20.jpg http://www.luciebrouillard.com/photo...ting/full4.jpg http://www.luciebrouillard.com/photo...ing/other8.jpg I LOVE this one: http://www.luciebrouillard.com/photo...Japon%2001.jpg THIS really has potential, and goes forward with my eventual plan of full and total coverage: http://www.luciebrouillard.com/photo...Edith%2035.JPG I think I shall go take a nap now, and day dream of tattoos and tattooed people. What it would be like to walk into work with my new face. Again, thank you for the thoughtfull reply. > [...] > > -- > Curt > http://curtjames.com/ |

Have you gone a day or so with full makeup or face paint applied? What you described in your one post seems like it is a look you could achieve with cosmetics and face paint. That would help you in gauging the response or checking the reaction, may give you a thrill (or disappointment), and could prove to be an interesting experience. I know you mentioned Sharpies and having experimented, but don't recall if you mentioned how extensive that experimenting has been. Also, please talk with your mom about the subject! Since you mentioned that being a... fear, perhaps it would be a good thing to open your dream to discussion. Otoh, maybe not, eh? ;o) Again, best of luck and please post a follow-up. -- Curt http://curtjames.com/ |

Curt http://curtjames.com/ Yes, I have gone out with full make-up and variour face paints applied over the years, I look forward to it every chance I get! I love Sharpies. I have done the butterfly mask and a leopard mask in Sharpie and gone out to spend a full day in them, more than several times. It is indeed a thrill to go out with a nice mask on, I enjoy it. I do get alot of attention, just like I want. The sharpies look similar to tattoos, but not quite. It's fun to go to the mall, and get a drink, then sit at table and read with my face done up neat. I enjoy doing leopard mask the best, as it is what I can draw on myself well. I usually wear matching leopard hose, black leotard, white socks and shoes when I go out. I have not gone to work like this, but I have gone to family Halloween parties several times as this. So, I hope that they might get the drift, and will not be to suprised when it becomes a reality. Lots of face paint and masks there. Costuming, too. Got myself a "got mud?" t-shirt courtesy of The Muck Masters. The following isn't a link to the group I saw perform, but will give you the general idea if you've never attended: http://www.mudshow.com/ Aaaaaanyway, I believe it would take more than wearing Sharpie marker for your friends and family to "get the drift" re your ultimate goal. Have you told anyone *directly* about your interest in having your face tattooed? I mean other than the fine folk here, of course. > Beth Good grief! I didn't realize how many festivals there are!
