no!! When one gets tattoos, one defiles their body. It's just that simple

whatever.
i have no tattoos and i have no plans to get one, but i won't judge
other people for it.
lots of these young girls, i'm sure they'll be sorry later.
i would counsel my own kids not to do it, but it's foolish to condemn
others for doing it.
it's their body for god's sake.

The first description they give on America's Most Wanted is the perp's
tattoo. I think it's good that potential criminals get as much ink as
they want so we can round them up easier...

Jimmy Buffett said it best - a tatoo is a "permanent reminder of a temporary
feeling".

But when they do it to be "unique" and to "express their
individuality," they are doing what millions of others are doing and it
the only way it makes them stand out is as a stupid sheep. If millions
of other people can do exactly what you are doing to be unique just by
plunking down the cash, you ain't unique.

"You want to be different - just like everyone else?" (something my
Dad asked me, when *I* was growing up).

All those boys with those "expanders" in their ears. What will
those look like when they're 40?

Kris

And I'm hearing more ads on the radio for some cream that allegedly
removes tattoos. Guess that's a good place to invest some money...

oh my gosh, i don't want to think about it.
it's hard to keep ones mouth shut, but it's the only way.
those kids feel so oppressed by the mainstream culture - who can blame
them?

i know that and you know that, ( i don't think they're "stupid" - only
naive)
but they are young and they have to find that out for themselves.
i used to try to gently steer the young ladies away from body mods by
telling them that no one will want to marry them if they do that, but
girls today don't want husbands - only babies!
they are not inclined to be too forward-thinking...
i think they'll survive!

that's exactly why i have no body markings of any kind.
i have always been afraid that one day george bush and them will
finally start putting all the freaks in concentration camps.
i want to be able to blend in w/the republicans when the time comes.
call me cynical!

They look horrible now. I have a strong stomach -- hell, I worked as a meat
wrapper in a small butcher shop that cut anything you the farmer had to put
down or the hunter had a license for -- organ meat and other not so
delectable things -- and it never bothered me. Those ear expanders make my
stomach come up on me. Now, I can touch raw hearts and kidneys, no
problem -- but......
