But is that at all related to the OP's project? You're not offering that there aren't enough stunning tattoos out there to fill a coffeetable book? And, yes, I don't recall the OP mentioning a suggested retail price either, so that criticism - if that's what your comment is - is off your coffeetable, too. In other news: http://www.amazon.com/Body-Type-Inti.../dp/0810970503 Just $20 cover price and about fifteen bucks through Amazon, btw. -- Curt |

You have no basis for comparison, otherwise. That's like saying "on a scale to ten, you're a nine." From what to ten? Get it? Kavin |

You are incorrect, imo. Furthermore, I don't believe you've been paying attention. At all. > You have no basis for comparison, otherwise. That statement is also incorrect. Again, imo. As, Kavin, it's all relative. To review: Art is subjective and ever will be. What you like I may detest and the other way around, of course. I say holding a belief that there are no bad tattoos would not... *does not* disallow the ability to compare and contrast existing tattoos. Stating there are no bad tattoos opens up the possibility of a discussion of technique (or lack thereof) and intent. To wit: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...dfe0adeb50f455 aka http://tinyurl.com/qrsnt If you discount certain tattoos then you're limiting that discussion. Good for me would be a tattoo that I enjoy looking at. I have two color tattoos and the one blackwork which is not much more than an inkblot. Each has its own personality or memory that I associate with it. And as I run into people and show off or share my tattoos - typically the Calvin <http://www.geocities.com/curt_james/calvin.html> - another memory is associated with the tattoo. Bad and good, so far as tattoos are concerned, are dependent on the individual, imo. I suggest that individuals should not lose sight of what they enjoy and the art that appeals to them rather than the art they're told is somehow better. Yes, imo, there are no bad tattoos. There are, however, tattoos that you like or that you don't like for personal reasons. > That's like saying "on a scale to ten, you're a nine." You're wrong. That should be a familiar feeling for you, of course. > From what to ten? > Get it? Do you? > Kavin -- Curt http://curtjames.com/ |
