retail jewelry outfits?

My ears are totally devoid of adornment these days. The other day, a
co-worker thought I had a *tick* in my ear. No, thats just an 8ga empty
conch punch. Man, I'm such a slack. Which brings me to:

So what retail outfits are you-all ordering their jewelry from these
days? Looking for (in decreasing order of importance): reasonable
prices, pretty sparklies, and solid construction. Ooooh, and responsive
customer service. Got to have that. Don't need anything exotic, just
your basic CBRs, straight barbells, labret studs, nostril screws, gem
ends, meow meow meow etc blah.

BUT, would appreciate to ability to vaguely "customize" -- that is,
specify the size of the balls on a barbell or diameter of a flatback --
without too much difficulty or pushback.

Small gauge double-flanged eyelets of custom length would rule too, but
I know as well as anyone that probably nobody does those anymore. (What
in shit ever happened to Steal? Wah!)

And if you say Anatometal, you're going to have to convince me that they
can consistently produce threaded product that doesn't come loose or
totally fail to be interchangeable with purportedly identically-threaded
ends. Had about enough of THAT in my life.

The last few non-junky things I have purchased have been from
bodycircle. If you sign on for their newsletter, they quite often
have monthly specials discounting various things 20-25%, I've found
their product and service to be consistently good.

I have a friend who has spent quite a bit of time on the phone to
them, asking questions and requesting various small customizations -
essentially just small things like you detail that weren't explicitly
in the catalogue, they were very happy with the way they were treated.

won't do you any good. However for reasonable prices, pretty sparklies,
solid construction, and responsive customer service, well, they're it.

And they're currently offering a 15% discount from now until Dec 15th.

thx. i may just go with them.

i've been a little leery of bodycircle in the past, but mostly because
their threading 'taint "normal." (yttrx, you may now commence frothing
re: countersinking & threading standardization.)

of course i made an error in my OP where i said that prices were more
important than construction. not so -- 'tis vicey-versy, of course.
