So, where do you get YOUR tattoo ideas?

If you're Will Harrod then one answer is: "He picked a picture of Santa
off a Christmas card."

The story:

ZANY Will Harrod has a collection of unusual tattoos including a Blue
Peter badge, a toaster and a Lego man putting a golf ball into his
belly button.

So when the 20-year-old soldier marched into Pulse tattoo shop in
Peterborough's Westgate Arcade and asked for a multi-coloured cartoon
of Santa and Ruldolph to be inked onto this chest, staff didn't bat an
eyelid.

Will, who is currently living in Whittlesey but will soon jet off to
serve in Germany, has at least 13 other "random" tattoos on his body.

He picked a picture of Santa off a Christmas card and presented it to
Pulse's Justin Knott who spent around an hour-and-a-half recreating it
in fine festive colours.

Mr Harrod, who has a massive dragon motif on his back, said: "Me and my
mates like to out-do each other when it comes to random tattoos.

"I just thought that a picture of Santa would be a good one to get."

He said he hoped the Blue Peter badge, which sits proudly on the left
side of his chest, would get him free access to attractions and
nightclubs.

He added: "I plan to get more tattoos. This time next year I could be
covered!"

Tattooist Mr Knott said: "Sometimes people come in and ask for random
tattoos and, if we think they will be making a big mistake, we will
talk them out of it.

"Bit as Will has a lot of random tattoos anyway that wasn't an issue."

Staff at Pulse say they have had a number of unusual requests.
Tattooist Abi Williamson said: "People will have portraits done and
pictures of their pets.

"One person even had the words 'made in China' done on the sole of
their foot." From:
