Hi,
One of the things about body piercings that I would like is to consider them as permanent modifications just like tattoos. One way to make this a reality would be to permanently attach body jewelry (such as the securing the beads in captive bead rings) in such a way that they cannot be removed. There is a mention of something similar to this idea on Wikipedia for permanent ear piercings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear_pie...anent_earrings There was an even better example of this on the BME Encyclopedia, which is currently down. The page featured a captive bead ring that was permanently installed in a Prince Albert piercing for chastity, although I have not heard of non-removable jewelry being placed in any piercings. I believe the entry used to be located here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Permanent_Piercing Of course even in these examples the piercing isn't completely permanent, but it is admittingly more significant than a piece of jewelry that can be easily opened or unscrewed. Any ideas on this? |

Where can I buy the locking jewelry you mentioned?
Alternatively, I am still interested in ways that standard jewelry can be made permanent. After all, the jewelry could always be cut off in an emergency. Also, what about those who have transdermal implant jewelry that is permanent? i'll teach you to turn away. wrote: > greatcomputing@gmail.com wrote: > ggc> although I have not heard of non-removable jewelry being placed in any > ggc> piercings.
