Actually, that's really a statement, not a question. Your opinion now counts less than Curt's. A Curt statement unanswered stands for, on the net, a truth. Ignoring him does not mean he posts less. In fact, he will post more. At least dicking with him can be fun. And so far, you haven't proved yourself worthy of my disdain. Consider yourself on the level of Cindy. And no, I don't give a fuck about when you first posted. As of late, you just whine. You've added nothing to ANY thread you've posted to. Kavin |

Hardly a glowing endorsement of yours truly, it appears he's taken offense at your post. > > you'll finally get the coveted 98% you so > > desperately yearn for. The stats are what they are. Simply a record of who participated for a given month. I write a lot. I like tattoos and piercings and, yes, reading about related schtufff. Desperately yearning for Kim Basinger perhaps, but for a specific percentage of a certain month's posts? No. > You don't get it do you? Like you do? > Actually, that's really a statement, not a question. Lack of understanding wrt question marks and their uses - check. > Your opinion now counts less than Curt's. Yeah, but you never did specifically state what my opinion somethingsomething, Kav. Might wanna clear that up, okay? > A Curt statement unanswered stands for, on the net, And OFF the net? What then? > a truth. So if I state that some certainly consider you something of a fool then you'd have to answer that statement, yes? Because to leave that statement unanswered, well, it'd - by your definition apparently - stand for, at least on the net (which is, hey, where we are), a truth. Yes? And, hey, that's really a question, not a statement. ;o) Yes? Hth. > Ignoring him does not mean he posts less. Duh. > In fact, he will post more. Really? Might want to check the stats, pal. Am I consistent? Do the numbers spike a certain time of year? > At least dicking with him can be fun. What's that quote about dancing with a pig, Kav? I'd say you look rilly, rilly, RILLY sToOpiT during most if not all of our exchanges. Ymmv, naturally. > And so far, you haven't proved yourself worthy of my disdain. What the heck does that mean? Your disdain and about a buck 'n a nickel get me a cup of coffee at the local diner, Kav? > Consider yourself on the level of <snip>. You'd best go back to using your little initials attribution process again, 'kay? > Kavin Oh, yeah, 'member, Kav, if you don't answer each statement then yadayada, right? -- Curt |

Oh, so "you" are the defender of the internet! You remind me of one of those Japanese soldiers deep in the Phillipine jungles, the war is over but you don't realize it. > > Ignoring him does not mean he posts less. In fact, he will post more. > > At least dicking with him can be fun. Sure seems like you are enjoying yourself. Even a dope like Curt slaps you around over and over again and you think you are winning some sort of fight. Face it, RAB is no longer a viable source of timely information, it's no longer a place where friends hang out to chat and it's thanks to people like you, that fell into Curts passive-aggressive, pollyanna-ish tarbaby plan. If you had the common sense and restraint to ignore him from the beginning Curt wouldn't have had the podium long enough to drive the intelligent people away from here. You, however won't understand that, you've got too much invested in being the defender of RAB's corpse. > > And so far, you haven't proved yourself worthy of my disdain. right to the quick. >Consider > yourself on the level of Cindy. Don't care about levels, don't care about being considered by you to be a whiner and don't care about not adding anything to a virtually dead 'group. I just wandered back in after a few years gone and made some observations, before allowing myself, temporarily, to get drawn into a morass . > > > Kavin > Keep fighting the "good" fight kavin. |

Cool schtufff. http://history1900s.about.com/od/wor...oldiersurr.htm > Sure seems like you are enjoying yourself. And where's the harm in that, eh? > Even a dope like Curt I AM FEELING THE LOOOOOOVE!!!!!! > slaps you around over and over again and you think > you are winning some sort of fight. You know, Lub, I was thinking that perhaps my own feelings on this subject were possibly evidence of unconscious incompetence on my part. That, perhaps, I was viewing those aforementioned instances of "slaps you around over and over again," but that no one else saw it that way. Thank you, therefore, for affirming my belief that Kavin often takes a text-based beating during our... discussions. > Face it, RAB is no longer a viable source of timely > information, Was that ever RAB's raison d'etre? I say no. YMMobviouslyV. > it's no longer a place where friends hang out to chat And speaking thusly, you display a lapse in observation skills. You missed the exchanges between Kav and a number of other RABbits recently. Certainly what I'd describe or characterize as friendly interaction between patrons of this newsgroup. Yes, a newsgroup "where friends hang out to chat." ;o) > and it's thanks to people like you, Kavin's negative remarks re yours truly may have spurred absent patrons to post, actually, Lub. They may have peeked in and witnessed Kavvy taking a swipe at me and then joined the fray so to speak. Afterwards they lingered long enough to swap some non-Curt bashing posts. Not a bad trade, imo. So, thanks to people like Kav, well, the newsgroup enjoyed some "action" of a positive sort. > that fell into Curts passive-aggressive, How am I passive-aggressive? My resistance, if that's what you'd call my posts, is what I'd call very directly expressed. > pollyanna-ish Rainbows and cotton candy, baby! > tarbaby plan. Tarbaby? Hmm. n. A situation or problem from which it is virtually impossible to disentangle oneself. HA! You accuse Kavin of lacking restraint while seemingly in the same breath show a similar lacking. How's that feel? Disentangle yer brain, pal. > If you had the common sense and restraint to ignore him And, hey, is this what you consider evidence of you following the "common sense and restraint to ignore him" path? By posting to a thread that I created? Hardy har har, Lub. You're a hoot! > from the beginning Curt wouldn't have had the podium long > enough to drive the intelligent people away from here. Here's where you're entirely wrong. There are countless newsgroups that suffer what some describe as trolls. Those very same newsgroups thrive and, yes, even enjoy the entertainment of stomping on those so-called trolls. The fact that RAB's participation is lacking has absolutely no basis in or attachment to my posting habits. As I've said before, people come and people go. The Internet has grown and offers a wider choice of diversions and attractions to tempt former regulars away. Live Journal, MySpace, IAM, etc. To think that I am responsible for the disappearance of Ray, lish, and company, well, it's fantasy. It's false. At least that's how I view things. Again, perhaps it's an example of unconscious incompetence, but I'd like to think that RABbits have more spirit and smarts than to be bored or bullied away from participation by ONE poster. Absurd. > You, however won't understand that, you've got too > much invested in being the defender of RAB's corpse. Firstly, RAB isn't dead. There is no corpse. RAB continues and although the cast of characters is seemingly ever-changing, RAB remains a wonderful destination. Secondly, you're bitter? Don't blame it on RAB. DO something about it. Maybe that's what you're doing now. Thirdly, kudos for participating in that or, hey, any case. > Don't care about levels, Levels, levels. Now why does that ring a teensy-weensy bell? > don't care about being considered by you to be > a whiner Liar. LIAR! L-i-a-r, fibber, falsehood espouserererer! (And, yeah, whiner.) > and don't care about not adding anything to a virtually dead > 'group. heh :o) Virtually. A pun? > I just wandered back in after a few years gone and Welcome back. > made some observations, before allowing myself, > temporarily, to get drawn into a morass . And, hey, who couldn't use some morass? (ba dump bump) > Keep fighting the "good" fight kavin. Finally some good advice. Alas, so far as advice for you, Lubbert? Stay down. You've obviously got no mo' good fight in you. Hth. -- Curt |
