Hi Lish,

I'm curious about why the brand, with appropriate aftercare, would somehow be
more susceptible to leading to a systemic infection if done outside of a shop
with care taken to be clean. Obviously the instrument itself would be sterile,
no?

As far as a giant blistered blob, that's okay - it's as much about the
branding itself as it is the scar; the scar is just the reminder of the
branding, though preferably it won't be just a blob if done right. :)

Just imagine going too deep, for example going into a muscle. You may
quickly reach your wit's end with "appropriate aftercare" when a deep
tissue infection sets in.

Find a practitioner who will let you do it under his supervision,
better yet, have someone knowledgeable do it and find a way to
partcipate.

Nina
