Good: It will heal. Remember, you have a fresh wound there. It just takes a bit of time. One of the things that may be causing discomfort is "crusties" built up on the jewelry. I used to just clean the bar or ring with a damp sheet of TP every time I peed. If you really want a recommendation, normal, semi-loose briefs, not the slingshot kind. Or, boxers, and just re-arrange things when you sit. Bad: Small gauge piercings tend not to be comfortable. It's called the cheesewire effect. I didn't get complete comfort on my PA until I got up to 4 gauge or so. YMMV. Notes: If my experience is any indication, PAs tend to self stretch like an SOB. Keep the jewelry as light as possible by using titanium and avoiding extra large diameter--just what you need and no more. As to the CBR vs. curved BB debate, be your own judge. I wore both CBRs and circular BBs in mine with about equal success. The CBBs meant that I didn't need a tool to remove when I wanted to. I never tried a curved BB. I didn't like the idea of the top bead pulling inside the urethra. Finally: You will have noted the past tense in my experience. When I got to 0 gauge, much of it by autostretching, I converted to an Apadravya, which I then intentionally have stretched to 7/16" gauge. Have patience. You're on your way! D |
