You all just don't talk much.
Here I was hoping to be regaled with the glories of daring body mods and gallant tales of how-to and look-what-I-did and all I get is a few concise pieces of good advice and silence. I am now forced to read the archives. I hope you all feel properly guilty for failing to entertain me. |

[...] >> Wait for Capt. Google. > > >Who? Short version: Me. :o) See: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...captgoogle.jpg Not so short version: WHO? See, Kavin? You're vague, indirect, and, imo, cowardly approach is a failure. Unless LC is... joshing. If you're serious, LC, allow me to introduce... Dant-dant-DAAANNNN!!!! ~*CapTAIN GOOOO-GLE!*~ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...captgoogle.jpg (bows) "At your service, Madame." Kavin has apparently been searching for some way to annoy me for quite some time. He used the nickname Curtie, but that's what my little brother called me when he was a kid and I informed Kav of that fact. He never bothered with Turtis or Turt as a) he may not have thought of that one (Kavvy's not especially creative, imo), b) he didn't like that particular nickname, or c) yeah, I believe I stated that my other little brother called me Turtis because he couldn't pronounce the /ka/ sound at first. These things repeat themselves as my nephew screams, "Untnle Turt!" when he sees me. Uncle Turt, Curtie, Captain Google, it's all good. Anyway, Kav has taken to commenting on an unnamed (for the most part, iirc) "Capt. Google" as, I believe, a jab at me for my penchant for using, my preference, my enjoyment of that search engine. http://www.google.com/ Google! Live it. Love it. :o) -- Curt http://curtjames.com/ |

(blushes, kicks floor) Thanks, LC. But there are others who are much nicer. Gol, largely absent, unfortunately (and, hey, LARGELY in general as he's a mighty big guy), is a very nice one "here". And his typical kindness and generosity towards newbies and RABbits of all form and fashion cannot be impugned as false or fake because he is accepted and welcomed by most of the patrons of this newsgroup, afaik. Regardless, there are others as nice or muuuuch nicer than myself. Still, I do try to be nice, but have been criticized for that kindness. I've been told to shoo the so-called morons away and to not encourage the equally so-called idiots. But where's the fun in that? The more the merrier, imo. And, yes, I'm always looking for those people who DO talk... much. >Why are they so mean to you? Mean? What is this thing called mean? ;o) There's not much I consider mean. I do, however, recognize backstabbing, overreaction, misinterpretation, and misplaced aggression. Most if not *all* here are, I'm guessing, human. Humans do all of that schtuff. I do, too. ;o) And while I have seen what I'd call that backstabbing and overreacting behavior, perhaps in pot-kettle-black fashion, I love this quote by Anais Nin: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." This quote's not bad either... "If you do not breathe through writing, if you do not cry out in writing, or sing in writing, then don't write, because our culture has no use for it." Perhaps that's why there's so much... inactivity here? They're all secret Anais Nin fans and have taken her words to heart! >Is it true what they say about the ink making people mean? HA! My grandmother used to say pimples are the meanness coming out. Hmmm.
