Friends !
Do any of you have tattoo's on your hands ? And what - if any- are the pro's and/or con's ? Any negative/positive experiences or comments ? I've been thinking a lot lately about having both sleeves extended along the outer ridge of my hands. ( How the fsck do I explain in English...damn...) The part of the hand from the pinky down to the wrist. The tattoo should extend sort of like a blunt arrow point from the wrist up the pinky. I don't think it has been done very often since I could not find a single pic on BME or on the net. -- Hans van Eynsbergen There is an art to flying, or rather a knack... This, imo, is dependent on people's reactions in many ways but, no, not all ways or always. ;o) A con would be if you were denied employment however that reason being left unstated. A pro would be the positive feeling you get from the new art. >Any negative/positive experiences or comments ? "The part of the hand from the pinky down to the wrist." So, how about "I'd like a tattoo on the part of my hand from the pinky down to the wrist."? Yes, that is the outer ridge or edge of your hand. Aren't you into the martial arts? Isn't it the striking edge? Hmmm. Guess I'm thinking of that Kung Fu TV series tattoo thread. The only vocabulary I possess for hands would include: Palms, fingers, knuckles, wrist, fingernails, callous, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, pinky or little finger, thumb, fist, nail bed, cuticle, hang nail... uh, no idea (other than - as you said - outer ridge) of a specific term in English for that area of the body other than, maybe, edge. http://images.google.com/images?svnu...&btnG=Searc h aka http://tinyurl.com/jq78d :o) -- Curt |

No, I'm not into martial arts....one gets tired of doing that stuff... The only physical exercise I do is building up enough power with my index finger of my right hand ( here come the different parts of the hand again) for the trigger to move the trigger bow backward against the sear with enough force for said sear to disconnect with the hammer that in turn will strike the firing pin with enough force for the firing pin to travel forward at alarming speed to impact with the primer which will detonate into the powder charge of a .45 ACP casing in order to generate enough force for the 200 grain hollow point to leave the barrel of my Les Baer build 1911A1 platform at an average speed of 1200 fps. and sufficient kinetic energy to splatter ones brains against the nearest wall.... That should do the trick... 'Nuff said about physical exercise... -- Hans van Eynsbergen There is an art to flying, or rather a knack... Oops! I mean, welcome back, Corine. How nice of you to visit. And, regarding your alt.gun recommendation, I care. Hans seemingly cares. And, hey, Marie, cared enough to pursue the thread and pose the question. > Corine > > A man generally has two reasons for doing a thing. > One that sounds good, and a real one. You cry, piss, moan, whine, etc. Why, I'll bet you don't even appreciate the kind words you've been offered of late. Obviously not! Your panties are apparently stitched to the crack of your ass. What is it like to be you? Oh, trust me, that's entirely rhetorical. > And watch, Capt. Google Who? My favorite superhero? Not so much the sadly yadayada as my attitude does not suck as, well, you know, YOURS DOES! Hth. > You will be able to feel the love. Maaaybe not. Plus, it was pleasant enough meeting him in Detroit that one year. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...04/020_27A.jpg That was 2004. He really does pass out candy to the little (and not so little) girls. Joann's a prize. And R's not bad for a curmudgeon. Generous even to those he professes to... hate (for lack of a better word).
