My comments wrt good and bad have been tied to tattoos in particular. To wit, art is subjective and ever shall be. What you like I may detest and the other way around, of course. I say holding a belief that there are no bad tattoos would not, *does not* disallow the ability to compare and contrast existing tattoos. Stating there are no bad tattoos opens up the possibility of a discussion of technique (or lack thereof) and intent. See also: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...dfe0adeb50f455 aka http://tinyurl.com/qrsnt If you discount certain tattoos then you're limiting that discussion. Good for me would be a tattoo that I enjoy looking at. I have two color tattoos and the one blackwork which is not much more than an inkblot. Each has its own personality or memory that I associate with it. And as I run into people and show off or share my tattoos - typically the Calvin - another memory is associated with the tattoo. Bad and good, so far as tattoos are concerned, are dependent on the individual, imo. I suggest that individuals should not lose sight of what they enjoy and the art that appeals to them rather than the art they're told is somehow better. Yes, imo, there are no bad tattoos. There are, however, tattoos that you like or that you don't like for personal reasons. Ymm - obviously - v. Hth. > site? > > Of course you can't. I could. > No bad. No good. No dice. But, hey, I trust you'll try again. > Kavin -- Curt |

How does one compare when you disallow one end of the spectrum? So once again, your opinion is totally worthless. The only thing you can really say, Curt, using your statement, is that a tattoo is. Through the magic of semantics. While you're obviously hung up on good versus bad, I don't have a need to judge, snipe, complain, and whine. > So once again, your opinion is totally > worthless.
