I do, however, hope that I live a very long and very healthy life. But as I've said previously, I do ride a motorcycle and so that may give you an edge, fwiw. What are the odds? Your sister at X years versus my grandfather of Leukemia at 60something? Genetically, I'd say I've got you beat. I've got three grandparents at 87 or more. Plus you're already ooooolder than I am. ;o) Eat dirt, pal. Or not. Too many variables to calculate when you'll be pushing daisies. Regardless and again, best of luck. > Try again. Whatever. Hey, while I'm here, I thought of you earlier. I was browsing the book section at a nearby Walmart and noticed some of those Chicken Soup books. They should write Chicken Soup for the Whining and Complaining Soul just for you. :oD > And since you consider yourself > a cartoonist, I'm sure you will tell > us Us again. We. You need a posse, don't you? Can't just approach this as a one-on-one. You need support. > where those cartoons have appeared. Everywhere I've set foot, of course. Certainly every place of employment. Pennsylvania, Virginia, Indiana. You're looking for paid work, I suspect. Safety posters, bulletin boards, informational posters, all on-the-clock work. I have a rejection slip somewhere from Lee Lorenz' desk at The New Yorker for a black and white single panel cartoon. I should have a million of those things, but was never driven to be published like that. Although at the time, some million years ago, iirc, they were paying $500 for a half-page and a grand for a full-page. Never saw that money, however made between $35 and $55 an hour from an agency for drawing caricatures at the mall, banks, company picnics, private parties, etc. The work's there, but I haven't pursued it. I'm content to draw literally thousands of puppy dogs, kitty cats, roses, princesses, football and basketball players, etc. for students. As well as the odd serious portrait for coworkers and friends. > Do you work at Six Flags during > the summers? Would that be a big deal? Summer school mostly. Although a guy I went through motorcycle safety training with, currently a MSF instructor, has encouraged me to teach the rider course this summer. Whatever I choose to do, I doubt it will involve cartooning people at an amusement park. > Kavin > > Loved the missing comma. <snip> See? Nothing. You gots, Kavvy. WHATCHUGOT???!!!! NOTHING!!!! :oD Such is life. -- Curt |

I don't necessarily hope I outlive you. And again, what you wrote was not logic. And since you did not try to prove otherwise, you knew, and know, it. By the way, Wanda was a half-sister. Pay attention. But, according to your theory, at what point do you become a crack- whore like your mother? I mean, really, genetics of mother (and a useless father) far outweigh my half-sister's death of a heart- attack. My mother, and I know her and talk to her, is 75 plus with no heart problem. Her mother was 80 or so when she died. And since you don't hope to outlive me, why don't you just off yourself now? Or do you honestly think the Harley people will miss you? Kavin |

Could you get any MORE boring? Never mind. You're booooring. I knew, and know, that! > By the way, Wanda was a half-sister. And? > Pay attention. Hey, you're the so-called terrier. You pay attention, okay? I'll just skim, if you don't mind. Heck, I'll skim regardless. Fetch me some commas, Kavvy. Thanks! > But, according to your theory, Suddenly I have theories? I thought I was just playing with you. You know, some verbal lobs over the virtual volleyball net? They're not lobs, are they. Whatever. Try to keep your eyes open. You seem to have that tendency to take a beating by volleyballs. > at what point do you become a crack-whore Crack-whore? Come on, Kav. It's crack whore or crackwhore. I mean, you're the particular one, of late. All semicolon this (well, semi- colon for you, of course) and comma that. No hyphen there (or in semicolon for that matter), imo. > like your mother? Ha! Comma comments and now mom jabs. You really don't have anything, do you? > I mean, really, genetics of mother (and a useless > father) far outweigh my half-sister's death of a heart- > attack. So far as what? > My mother, and I know her and talk to her, is 75 plus with no > heart problem. Cool. > Her mother was 80 or so when she died. My condolences. My mother's mother was 87. > And since you don't hope to outlive me, > why don't you just off yourself now? What, and miss more of your posts? NO WAY, KAVIN! [...] Hey, no sparkling commentary or criticism of the answers to your cartooning questions? C'mon. Why, you could reciprocate with tales of your musical achievements. -- Curt |
