I had made a post a while back about how noticeable mods were
(http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...00a4818e015 ), & just wanted to give you guys an update. I split my tongue over the last few months in a few sessions, and I've got it about an inch deep so far. No one has noticed my split unless I've pointed it out to them. Not even my parents. I've asked both my mom & dad if they thought they'd be able to tell if someone had a split tongue, they are both sure they would, with my tongue split. I have not tried to hide it from them or anything of that nature, and I talk to them quite often. I should mention that I didn't suture the sides of my tongue, so it's not really rounded. Two weeks ago, I interviewed for a job at a factory, & was hired on the spot; I sure my employer didn't notice my tongue at all. Anyways, I'm glad I went ahead with this mod, I feel more in control of myself than ever before, and there are plenty of other benefits. I've decided not to get any visible mods done at this point in my life, perhaps later when I decide what career path I want to pursue. For now it's going to have to be truely subtle stuff like inner-lip tattooing, septum piercing, etc. |

Here's some pictures:
http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/2...ge000110gt.jpg http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/1...ge000148oc.jpg In the second image, you can see how the halves can go back together and look like a regular tongue with more pronounced center line, I guess. I plan to split further if I ever get around to having a frenectomy done, or work up the courage to do it myself. |
