It's perfectly possible you're lying to her when you tell her that, depending upon your definition. This group's Tattoo FAQ has excellent sections on things to consider about getting a tattoo, such as subject matter, placement, size, etc. The FAQ is posted in the group monthly and is easy to google. nj"good luck"m -- "And don't think that didn't cause me some minutes of deep consternation." Seriously, that's a personal choice that only she should make. Pain or soreness is variable. Best of luck to your friend. -- Curt |

Something she won't regret in 1 or 20 or 50 years. It should be done by a fantastic licensed artist in a meticulously clean shop with sterile equipment. I've always felt that a tatto doesn't hurt any more than a bad cat scratch, and it only feels like that for about 48 hours. It hurts more when done over a bone - the ribs hurt quite a bit. Sometimes people feel like they're going to faint while they're getting their first tattoo. She should wait, and really think this over, and not just go and get some design from the wall. Hilary |

If she can't even do that little bit, she shouldn't be getting a tattoo. Are you going to let her get the tattoo put on you? If not, you shouldn't be doing her leg work. And by the way, if she can't even come up with her favorite piece of flash, she isn't ready anyway. As far as the soreness, she'll die from it. Kavin |
