Hey guys and girls,
I got what I think was a transdermal done at the weekend - there was so scalpel, the piercer punched three holes through the skin on my forearm with a needle and then slipped the metal in before capping it. My problem is that I'm very skinny and my arms are just skin over muscle and tendon. When I type you can clearly see the tendons from my hands rising and falling up and down my arm. The piercing is right over them, and today I've noticed that the area - which has been completely pain free so far - has started to ache as and after I type. I'm concerned the 'implant' is damaging the tendons by sitting on top of them and impeding their movement, but I also have low-level RSI in that hand and arm, and am used to pain as I type anyway - just not that far up. I'm reluctant to blame the piercing as a) I love it and b) it seems too small to cause any damage - at the same time though i'm suspicious that the process of getting it was nothing like I've read, and concerned that it may be making an already painful condition worse. Is it possible for it to cause damage like that? The metal under the skin was no longer than a few millimetres. Picture is at: http://samuelg.googlepages.com/photo.jpg Any advice really gratefully received. Cheers, Sam. |

Did they hold you down and perform some unidentified body mod on you, Sam? Drunken piercer and gang of friends: "Lesh just do shomething random! Lesh piercsh thish guy and not tell him whash he'sh getting! Maybe it'sh a transhdermal or maybe it'sh shomething elshe! GET HIM! HOLD HIM!" (raises glass) Cheers to the fellow skinny person though! :) > Any advice really gratefully received. My advice would be to see your family doctor if you have medical concerns. Is your arm still hurting? If so, visit your doc. Best wishes! > Cheers, > > Sam. Again, cheers to you, too. Please post a follow-up. -- |
