Hi! I'm Sarah and I found this forum while googling inner wrist tattoos earlier today, and thought I'd join as I'm a tat enthusiast. I currently have only one tattoo, but will be getting 2 more in the next two months. I'm extremely excited.
I currently have a green guitar pick with the initials CPE on my inner right wrist. It's a memorial tat, for my baby brother, who committed suicide in January '05. He played guitar and after he died, anytime I think of him or start feeling sad, I find guitar picks-- in the middle of my bed, on the floor, on the kitchen counter, on the table... all over the place. The thing is, no one plays the guitar here anymore. At first I found it creepy, but then when I started thinking of what I wanted to get as a memorial tat for him, I found a guitar pick, and knew at that moment that I wanted a tat of one with my brother's initials. I love the tat and the meaning behind it. It's fairly small- just the standard size of an actual guitar pick. It looks like I've just got a pick sitting on my wrist. Justin Clark of Redbeard's Living Canvas in Hot Springs, Arkansas is the artist who inked me. My next tat will be on my back, between my shoulder blades. I'm going to get my son's first footprints, one on either side of my spine, with a banner over the top and bottom, with his name in the top banner, and his birthdate in the lower banner. It will be in black and gray, with the feet 'painted' on without a heavy outline so they look more like the actual footprints. I may do some color- either orange or blue green(an aqua/teal color) or maybe both- in the lettering. I haven't decided on that part yet. The other one I'm going to get is going to be on the inside of my left wrist, and it's probably going to be a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon with a few small colored stars (blue, purple, green, yellow). Not totally sure about all the details on it yet. I wanted something more feminine, since my guitar pick isn't very feminine. What else can I say about myself.. I'm 24 and I'm a single mom to one amazing little boy who is 4 and a half. He's my world and he loves my tattoos (and is helping me pick out colors and designs, and he's SUPER excited about the tat of his footprints!). He's smart and wonderful. ![]() I'm an avid reader- I almost always have my nose in a book. I take care of my parents farm. I'm in the midst of writing a novel. I want many more tats, but for the time being, I'm going to have to just do the 2 that I'm getting in the next few months, and then start raising some more money. Tats are definitely addictive! So, that's me. |
